On completion and signing of the Dog Registration Form it will be deemed that you, the Client, have accepted the Terms and Conditions of Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited as set out below.

Under the European General Data Protection Regulation ('GDPR'), which came into effect on 25 May 2018, Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited must inform you that personal details of you and your dog will be held on paper and electronically. This will include the storage of your key that you may provide to us for your property. All data held will only be used for the purpose of the business and no information will be passed onto any third party without your consent.

Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited may act in the Client's absence as guardian of the Client's dog and may perform or take any action, which they deem necessary in order to protect and keep in good health the Client's dog.

All dogs must wear a regular collar (not a slip collar), fastened tight enough so that it will not slip over the dog's head but aso not too tight. A disc bearing the owner's details must be attached to the collar. Whilst in the care of Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited, a further collar may be attached to identify the dog as being with them.

Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited will provide poop-bags and treats. For dogs with special diets, where appropriate, grain free or natural treats (i.e. chicken) will be available and given with the Client's consent.

The Client must declare any illness/conditions their dog has. The Client must also declare any treatment or medication their dogs are receiving.

The Client gives permission for their dog(s) to be mixed with 'unfamiliar' dogs knowing that Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited has made an informed decision has been made as to which dogs are to be mixed based on knowing their temperaments.

The Client is responsible for all veterinary bills while their dogs are in the care of Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited unless the veterinary bill arises out of a direct fault of Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited.

Although we make every effort to ensure your pet is cared for with our usual high standards, we cannot be held liable for loss, injury or death.

The Client will take responsibility for any costs which may be incurred, by either veterinary or other, as a result of any damage, accident, or sickness caused to or by their dog and will pay any such costs or expenses on demand.

The Client's dog may be transported safely and legally with other dogs in a Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited vehicle. The Client agrees that Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited cannot be held liable for death or injury to their dog in the event of a motor vehicle accident.

Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited may hold in possession the keys to the Client's home and the Client is responsible for making arrangements with its own insurers with this regard. The key will be kept in a key safe when not in use. The Sub-Contractor walking or collecting the dog will be in possession of the key for the duration of the day the dog is to be cared for. It will then be returned to the key safe at the end of the day.

In the event of very hot weather, a 'hand to pavement' test will be carried out (in order to protect the dog's paws). If the Sub-Contracted walker deems the weather to be too hot for walking, alternate activities may be sought ensuring the dog has the opportunity to go to the toilet and be stimulated. Fresh water will be given.

The Client gives permission for Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited to walk their dog(s) off lead unless they have selected 'No' at the appropriate part of the Dog Registration Form.

The Client has explicitly confirmed that the dog has no record of aggressive or anti-social behaviour and they have made a full and frank disclosure of any characteristic or trait that might make their dog unsuitable for socialising with other dogs. If the Client's dog displays aggressive behaviour whilst out on a walk or being home boarded, the dog shall be isolated for the safety of itself, other dogs and the Sub-Contractors of Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited. It may be appropriate to request for the Client or their emergency contact to collect the dog if they are being home boarded.

Should the Client's dog be deemed to be unsuitable by Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited for walking or home boarding, Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited reserves the right to cancel the booking indefinitely, with immediate effect.

Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited is licensed under Uttlesford District Council and insured under Protectivity Insurance to operate as walkers and home boarders with each home boarder also being inspected by Uttlesford District Council. Copies of these documents can be requested for viewing at any time by the Client.

Walking takes place throughout the year other than on Bank Holidays, and the period between Christmas and New Year. Home boarding may still take place over these periods by Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited but an increased charge will be made to the Client.

The Client must contact Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited as soon as possible if home boarding or walking dates change or need cancelling.

Cancellation charges apply for walks as following:

Over 24 hours notice of cancellation - No Charge

Under 24 hours notice of cancellation - Half the amount of the service will be charge

Cancelled at Door - this is where a walker arrives at the Client's door and the walk is not needed

Charges for home boarding as following:

Home boarding will be confirmed upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total charge of the boarding.

The balance of the boarding is to be paid before collection of the dog at the end of the boarding.

Cancellation -
-
should the home boarding be cancelled within 1 month of the boarding start date but the owner is able to re-book within the following 6 month period, the deposit can be transferred for that boarding;
-
should the home boarding be cancelled and not rebooked within a 6 month period, the non-refundable deposit shall be kept by Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited;
-
should the home boarding be cancelled within a week of the boarding start date, 75% of the boarding charge will be payable;
-
should the home boarding be cancelled within 24 hours of the boarding start date, or should the dog not arrive for the boarding, 100% of the boarding charge will be payable.

The Client will provide all necessary food and items (bed, lead, food and feeding bowl) to ensure the dog is well provided for during its overnight boarding.

Should the Client's dog require additional supplies during its boarding period, these will be purchased and added to the Client's invoice.

Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited will charge the Client the agreed rate per walk or home boarding stay. Payment is due on receipt of a weekly invoice, which is sent out by email every Friday. Payment for overnight boarding must be made in advance of the dog being collected on the last day of boarding.

Should the Client fall into arrears of payment, Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited reserves the right to temporarily pause any services until the arrears has been cleared.

Walking is provided within a 5 mile radius of Saffron Walden, Essex at the normal rate. Any Client outside of this radius requiring dog walks will pay a mileage rate of 50p per mile.

The Client gives consent for their dog's image to be used in photo or video format on Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited promotional material and social media or in any format that Hayley's Happy Hounds Limited considers appropriate.

Force Majeure. Neither party shall be in breach of this Contract nor liable for delay in performing or failure to perform, any of its obligations under this Contract if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control.
